Fans loved what Travis Kelce did during Kansas City Chiefs’ victory over the Houston Texans in the NFL playoffs.
Chiefs defeated the Texans by 23-14 on Saturday to qualify for the AFC Championship game – the final fixture of the season before the Super Bowl.
The hosts had a mixed start at the Arrowhead Stadium and were limited to two field goals in the first quarter, but only gave up three points themselves as both sides felt their way into the contest.
Chiefs would score their first touchdown in the second quarter largely thanks to the work of tight end Kelce, who ran 49 yards after receiving a pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
In the fourth quarter, with Chiefs up by 13-12, they scored another touchdown when Mahomes launched the ball 12 yards to an unmarked Kelce.
The number 87 then decided not to mark his touchdown with a celebration, instead staring down the grounded linebacker Azeez Al Shaair.
NFL fans found the moment hilarious, with one fan writing: “The stare from Kelce is disgusting here.”
Another said: “The Kelce stare down was diabolical.”
A third wrote: “That stare down was top tier by Kelce. Helluva play by Mahomes.”
One fan, though, wasn’t as impressed, writing: “Stare down from Kelce after TD which is unusually unsportsmanlike.”
Kelce’s partner Taylor Swift was present at the Arrowhead Stadium, with the pop icon spotted alongside WNBA star Caitlin Clark.

She regularly appears at Kelce’s home games throughout the season, and is often pictured with members of the Chiefs star’s family and her friends.
Kelce’s touchdown ultimately proved pivotal for the Chiefs, who won 23-14 after scoring 10 unanswered points in the final quarter.
They will take on the winner of the NFL’s second AFC divisional playoff between Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills, which takes place on Sunday evening (around 11:30pm Sunday UK time).

Kelce was in a long-term relationship with model and influencer Kayla Nicole until 2023, when the pair officially parted ways after over five years together.
In a trailer for FOX’s upcoming show, ‘Special Forces’ Nicole appeared to get emotional when describing her split with the Chiefs star.
“Going through a public breakup, it’s been overwhelming,” she explained before the camera cut away.
Kelce has been in his current relationship with Swift since the summer of 2023.

Swift has been dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelce since 2023 and their relationship appears to be going from strength to strength.
There has even been speculation in recent months that Kelce is considering getting down on one knee to propose to Swift, though that has not yet taken place.
Kelce has spent his entire NFL career with the Chiefs has been on the roster since 2013, having played in almost 200 games across the season and post-season since his debut.
In his time, Kelce has won the Super Bowl on three occasions with the Chiefs, and been named four times in the first-team All-Pro, as well as the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team.
Since Swift began dating Kelce, she has often been spotted at Chiefs games, including at the team home ground of Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
And now, when Swift attends the Arrowhead Stadium, fans in her vicinity must abide by three very particular and strict rules.

As per a report by Spanish publication Marca, these are rules involving security around the Kelce family suite, where Swift and other member of the Chiefs’ star’s family watch the game from.
The report cites a TikTok user called Carley who outlined the three golden rules in place around Swift.
One of these include no photos with Swift or autographs from her are allowed to be requested by fans.
Similarly, fans cannot pass items to Swift through the suite windows, even though they may be gifts to her and well intentioned.
And a ticket verification policy is also in place, with Swift’s security personnel checking the tickets of fans to confirm they are permitted to sit in the area near the Kelce family suite.
Though these precautions were in place, the TikTok user explained that Swift did still speak to fans and she shared an interaction with the pop star, as well as outlining how she behaves while watching her Chiefs boyfriend in action and that the security surrounding the Shake It Off singer is not overly restrictive.
Carley said: “Yes, I did get to talk to her, which was a very unforgettable experience.
“It was a very short interaction but I’ll never forget it. She’s really just like a fan when she’s there, which is so cool.
“She moves to the back of the suite when the Chiefs are on defense and returns to the front when Travis Kelce is playing offense.
“Security wasn’t super tight or aggressive or anything like that. There were no bodyguards or anything in the stands. I’m sure there was someone in the suite, but it was not anything crazy.”
