Ahead of Super Bowl LIX, where the Kansas City Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9, 2025 in New Orleans, rumors are swirling that quarterback Travis Kelce might propose to his girlfriend, singer Taylor Swift.

 

When asked about a possible Super Bowl proposal at a recent press conference, Kelce responded vaguely, “You really want to know.” This response has sparked speculation that a proposal could take place after the game.

According to some sources, the couple has considered themselves “unofficially engaged,” but it’s unclear whether there will be a public proposal. Some bookmakers have even offered odds on the possibility, with FanDuel Sportsbook Canada estimating the odds at 11.76%.

Despite the speculation, Kelce chose to focus on praising Swift’s cooking skills and work ethic, emphasizing her positive influence on him.

Taylor Swift has confirmed that she will attend the Super Bowl to support her boyfriend. She has been a regular at Chiefs games throughout the season, including the recent AFC Championship game.

There are two burning questions looming over fans everywhere ahead of Super Bowl 2025: Will the Kansas City Chiefs or the Philadelphia Eagles take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy? And, will Taylor Swift be in attendance to cheer on Travis Kelce?

Since the “Lover” singer and the football player confirmed their romance in the fall of 2023, the pair have supported each other in their various endeavors. While Kelce made a guest appearance on stage during her Eras Tour (wearing a tuxedo and a top hat no less!), Swift has shown up to Chiefs games time and time again sporting the team’s signature red.

Perhaps one of the most headline-making moments of their relationship was when Swift kissed Kelce on the field during the 2024 Super Bowl to celebrate his victory, telling the tight end that the game was “unbelievable.”

Nearly one year later, the singer celebrated on the field again after the Chiefs won the AFC championship, securing their third consecutive trip to the Super Bowl. As Swift embraced Kelce, she told him, “I love you so much. I’m so proud of you, I can’t stand it.”

The music icon then grabbed Kelce’s face in her hands and said, “Look what you did! Look what you did,” to which the football player told her to “wait for two weeks” when they face the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2025 Super Bowl. “New Orleans, Louisiana, baby!”

Yes, Swift will attend the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans. Kelce’s older brother Jason confirmed the “Fortnight” singer will be heading to the Big Easy during an exclusive interview with PEOPLE days before the big game.

“Yeah, I think everybody’s coming in,” he said before sharing a few names. “I mean, I don’t want to speak for everybody, but I think obviously, our whole family. I believe, obviously Trav and Taylor, and his family and his friends. I mean, Trav always travels like, full,” the retired Philadelphia Eagles center added.

In 2024, Swift was present to witness the Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl despite performing in Tokyo less than 24 hours before kickoff.

Additionally, exactly one week before the 2025 Super Bowl, Swift arrived at the 2025 Grammy Awards wearing a “Chiefs red” sequin mini dress and a thigh chain with heart stones and a glittery red initial “T” that many believed to be a nod to Kelce.

Between Swift’s mom, Andrea, and dad, Scott, and her squad of A-list friends, Swift has been in the company of many familiar faces as she has cheered on the Chiefs.

During the 2024 Super Bowl, the pop star watched the game from a celebrity-packed suite including both the Swift and Kelce families, Blake Lively, Ice Spice, Miles Teller, Keleigh Teller, Lana Del Rey and more.

Although Kelce hasn’t spoken about Swift’s attendance, he made a few mentions of her (including the “unbelievable” homemade Pop Tarts she apparently makes!) while talking with reporters at the Super Bowl’s opening night event.

The NFL player opened up about drawing inspiration from Swift’s success, saying, “I better hold up my end of the bargain. She’s up there being the superstar that she is and never taking no for an answer and always working her tail off. I better match that energy for sure.”

Plus, some reporters couldn’t help but wonder if there might be more than just a Super Bowl ring at stake. When asked if he planned to propose during the game, Kelce smiled into the camera and said, “Wouldn’t you like to know.”
