Speculation grew even more on Monday when Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Nathan shared a look. If it turns out he’s not really Nathan, then who is he?

Many have been questioning Ryan Paevey’s return to Port Charles as Nathan West. How is it possible, after his tragic death and heartbreaking funeral, that he’s alive? Yes, it’s a soap opera, and people are always magically resurrected from the dead. But Nathan’s return from the grave seems to be heading a different route.
After seeing Paevey claim to be Nathan with no recollection of the past seven years, fans are growing even more suspicious after looks were exchanged between him and his sister, Britt. She appears to know more than she’s saying, and he seems to be hiding a ton of secrets. How he ended up in Port Charles remains a mystery, but it’s possible that he staged his own accident so he could wreak havoc on the city he once loved.

It’s most likely no coincidence that his arrival is right on the heels of Britt’s shocking return from the dead. It’s also highly likely that he might be the mystery boss who was controlling Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) and Britt, along with partnering up with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).
Paevey himself has stated that he would not return for a vanilla storyline, so whoever he is and whatever he’s up to must be juicy. A huge twist is about to rock Port Charles.

Who Is He Really?
There are a lot of questions about how this couldn’t be Nathan since the fingerprints and DNA match. However, Cesar Faison is the master villain, and there is no telling what he’s capable of pulling off. It’s not real life, so really, writers can do whatever they want.
Fans have two main theories about Nathan. Most believe that he is either Nathan, programmed to be evil like his father. If he’s not Nathan, he’s either Peter August or somehow Faison himself. It’s possible that Faison never really died. He has been labeled as the master of faking deaths.
Faison’s brain is supposedly in a jar. Some think the brain may turn up missing and find out it was somehow implanted into Nathan.
It’s still a huge mystery what will go down and what secrets will be revealed, but there are definitely big twists and turns coming.
