Here’s Why It’s Time For Gio To Dial His Anger Down On General Hospital

'General Hospital' Recap : Michael Takes His Kids & Gio Wants To Leave! P B P - YouTube

Gio has every right to be angry on General Hospital because his entire life was built on a lie. But it may be time to stop reacting so quickly and start listening.

Take A Breath

Gio (Giovanni Mazza) discovered who his biological parents were in the most unfortunate way. Overhearing Lulu (Alexa Havins) confronting Lois (Rena Sofer) about the truth was heartbreaking to watch. He was devastated, and who can blame him? The whole world was lying to him, including the only mother he ever knew.

Some time has passed since the news exploded at the Nurse’s Ball, but Gio is angrier than ever. He has moved in with Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Anna (Finola Hughes), and will not speak to most of the Quartermaines, including Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna).

His anger is understandable, but it may be time to take a breath and hear them out. Brook Lynn was a teenager when she was pregnant, and believed she was giving her child a better life by putting him up for adoption. The news is a shock, but she wasn’t being hurtful, and he was not unwanted. She thought she was doing what was best.

As for Dante, he didn’t even know she was pregnant. Yes, he was a total jerk to Gio before he knew the truth, but allow him to apologize and maybe begin to build a relationship.

Fork In The Road

Gio is at an impasse. He can accept what has happened and try to move on, or he can let it ruin his life. He claims he will never play the violin again. That would be him punishing himself. He is extremely talented, and it has always been something he enjoys. It would be tragic to lose that.

He is now bonding with Lulu. He is angry at Brook Lynn and Dante, but not Lulu? She is the one who told his secret without permission and hurt him. Is this his way of punishing his bio parents? Some fans have predicted that his anger will push him in a similar direction as Jason (Steve Burton) all those years ago, and he will work for his Grandpa Sonny (Maurice Benard). Let’s hope that doesn’t happen. Do you think it’s time for Gio to dial down his anger and attempt to forgive his parents? Let us know in the comments section.
