After a dramatic exit in 2023, Kelly Thiebaud is back in the role that made her a General Hospital fan favorite—Britt Westbourne. Although her return has not yet been confirmed on-screen, Thiebaud herself spilled the beans in an interview with TV Insider, confirming that her character is very much alive and ready to shake things up again.

Death Becomes Her

Britt’s sudden “death,” courtesy of The Hook (Heather Webber), left fans heartbroken. But as we saw in July 2025, her unexpected reappearance at an airport in Europe has given hope to viewers who’ve been hoping for her return.

Thiebaud, speaking candidly about her return, shared, “I feel so lucky to have a character that I really enjoy playing. I definitely missed her.”

Reflecting on her time away, Thiebaud described Britt’s complex journey, from her turbulent beginnings to her current status in Port Charles. “The journey that Britt has been on—from where she started to where she ended—has been such a highlight to watch,” she explained. Thiebaud also touched on her personal growth as an actress, noting how much she has evolved over her nine years on and off the show.

Britt’s mischievous side has been one of the fan-favorite aspects of the character, with Thiebaud reminiscing about some of her more memorable moments. “I have flashbacks sometimes of Britt knocking on Patrick’s [Jason Thompson] door, naked under a trench coat,” Thiebaud laughed. “There’s just so many fun things that I get to play with in the comedic side.”

But what can fans expect next from Britt? According to Thiebaud, there’s still a lot of story left to explore, especially in relation to Britt’s connection to Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr).
