Actress Lotlot de Leon on late singer-actor Cocoy Laurel: “You brought with you a beautiful painting you had made for her. Labis na ikinalungkot ni Lotlot de Leon ang pagpanaw ng aktor at singer na si Cocoy Laurel.
Si Cocoy ay dating onscreen partner at matalik na kaibigan ng pumanaw na ina ni Lotlot, ang Superstar at National Artist na si Nora Aunor.
Pumanaw si Nora sa edad na 71 noong April 16, 2025.
Pumanaw naman si Cocoy sa edad na 72 nitong June 14, 2025.
Sa kanyang social media account, ibinahagi ni Lotlot ang mga larawan nang dumalaw si Cocoy sa burol ni Nora sa Heritage Memorial Chapels sa Taguig City, noong April 21, 2025.
Makalipas ang halos dalawang buwan, ang cremated remains naman ni Cocoy ang inilagak sa Heritage Memorial Chapels.
LOTLOT DE LEON REMEMBERS COCOY LAUREL’S VISIT
Sa kanyang Facebook post, inalala ni Lotlot ang pagdalaw ni Cocoy sa lamay ng kanyang ina.
Dala-dala raw ni Cocoy ang ipinangako niyang painting ng Superstar at National Artist.
Si Cocoy ay isa ring pintor.

Saad ni Lotlot sa kanyang mensahe: “Such sad news to learn of the passing of my dearest Tito Cocoy.
“When you came to visit Mom for the last time, you brought with you a beautiful painting you had made for her.
“You told me that you had always promised to create another one for her—and so, you brought it with you to her wake.
“You turned to me and said, ‘Lot, please keep this… I’m giving this to you as a gift. Keep it.'”
Higit daw ang halaga ng painting dahil simbolo ito ng malalim na pagkakaibigan at pagmamahal ni Cocoy sa dating katambal sa pelikula.
Cocoy Laurel and Nora Aunor are now reunited in the afterlife.
